Infidelity

Who's at fault, when cheating occurs? Is it the responsibility of the person the relationship to say no? Or should the outsider be at fault. Words like homewrecker are thrown around but isn't that just the easy way out? Blame the outsider when the relationship could have internal strife.

My dream was me making out with a girl on a long bed/couch. We were under covers in a living room. There was another guy at our feet who was napping and the girl's boyfriend was siting on an adjacent couch too busy playing video games to notice what was going on. It was risky because we had to keep quiet but her skin was so soft.

and then I woke up

This dream was a lot more fresh 3 hours ago when I woke up breathing heavily and scratching at my arms.

Heres the set up

Me plus a girl who was my girlfriend, another couple, and a bear with a unique voice and mannerisms. We were on some sort of camp or tour. Now, the bear that was accompanying us hopefully had way more experience in the woods than us. We were looking for something...like a type of tree or water. Now this bear was being pretty hilarious the entire time so maybe he was just distracted but we come up to this tree and we all decide to climb it. The bear however doesn't climb and we soon find out why. Partway up the tree we see a bunch of wasps. The wasps landed on my right arm and then everything kind of slowed down. You could make out the fine fluttering of their wings. They raised their heads as their abdomens lowered and their stingers pierced my skin. I used my free left arm to smash, squish, pluck, flick, and fling them from me. I jumped down from the tree and we ran away. But soon there was a pain in my right arm. A small bump formed and grew. The pain swelled in proportion with the stretching of my skin. And when my skin couldn't hold it anymore (which is strange because skin is pretty damn elastic) it popped, pain shot through my right arm, and an larvae crawled out of the whole.

It was then I realized that the wasps were not stinging me, they were laying their eggs in me! And then dread...as my eyes glanced to my left arm, bumps were starting to form. And then the all too familiar pain...

And then I woke up

Grades

I dreamed that everyone (teachers, friends) were talking about my BMGT340 grade. Surprisingly the grade I got in my dream was similar to my actual grade.

Exam schedules can really bone you. Honestly if I had 4 hours of separation between my CMSC313 exam and my BMGT340 exam it would have been no problem.

CS Go Kart Race with WoW nerds

I had this dream after waking up around 8:14. I looked outside and the sun was rising. Oh shit, its 8:14? I had an exam at 8:00AM...I was supposed to study at night and then take the exam but I didn't get any studying done and to top it off I'm late...oh wait..its only 8:14PM. Back to bed. Two hours later I was refreshed with a new dream in mind.

A friend of mine sent me a CNN article about dreams, particularly the "failing an exam" recurring dream that happens in people well after their last final. Relating that to my misunderstanding that I had slept myself into failure earlier today and what do we get? I don't know, but my attitude here should be "Bring it on."

I don't mean WoW nerds offensively. It just seems a good way to describe video game playing, drag machine racing geniuses that smoked the CS department in a drag race through portals (a la Portal). However the portals were more like the green spheres from Half-Life 1.

The set up for the dream is a bit fuzzy, but basically my CS class was tasked to build a go kart and our competition was a group of WoW players. Possibly it was another class, but all I remember is they high fived each other and talked about WoW. I'm pissed at my CS class because only half of us showed up, and versus the collective brain power of the WoW nerds we needed all the brain juice we could get. We end up racing through Van Munching through various portals and in the final stretch I blacked out. (I was the race car passenger -- btw "man you really like tide.")

I came to a few moments later, amidst a cheering crowd with flashing lights and the weird muffled sound you get whenever people cheer in movies. But then I looked up and noticed the WoW guys shouldering their kart and walking into a portal and disappearing.

"Who won?" I asked..I woke up.

Train, Planes, other Planes

This dream came out of nowhere when I was taking my two hour nap before my business marketing final. In the dream I had brought my guitar to class. The teacher (unrelated to business finance, looks more like a teacher from a science class in high school) looks at the guitar comically and says "no..no way..there is no way you brought this guitar to class. He then takes my guitar (it was a blue metallic strat) and places it on a table near the door with...surprise surprise, my bass!

Turns out it was a music class because a girl performed a lick and we had to analyze it.

Sometime later this video started playing. I can't tell if I was imagining the video or if I were watching it on a laptop or something. Basically it was like a cheesy flash video that people make with interpretations of song lyrics. (Going Down - Misheard Lyrics comes to mind).

I cant find what melody I was biting but basically the song was "Oh baby i'm a train, oh baby i'm a plane, maybe another plane, oh baby I'm a train." And with every change the image would change from one hilarious picture the next. Images include Uncle Thomas the tank engine from an episode of Cleaveland show, to a picture of an army commander driving in a tank, where the driver mistakenly floors it and the tank shoots off.

Then I woke up.

Dream Blog

I heard it was a good idea to keep a journal of your dreams. It can server as inspiration for songs, movies, conversation pieces. I will do this now.

Unfortunately since it's online I have to keep my laptop next to me. The first thing I have to do when I wake up is write as much down as I can remember. Unfortunately the first thing I do when I usually wake up is go back to sleep.

See you tomorrow morning.
